2) 'This item is probably not authentic' ---and the reason for the expert's opinion.

3) 'This item is definitely not authentic' ---and the reason for the expert's opinion.

Please understand that this service is not designed to be a guarantee of authenticity or genuineness of an item. Proving the authenticity of an item can be a very difficult task, especially via the internet.  Specialists and appraisers all agree that in order to have proof-positive of the genuineness of an item it must be seen in person.

On the other side of that coin, an expert is usually able to spot a fake by examining high quality images via the web.

To request an Opinion of Authenticity you will be required to have a minimum of 3 clear, high quality images of the item in question. The expert may also request further images and/or information from you in order to make their judgment and provide their opinion.

You will be presented your Opinion of Authenticity in a digital certificate format which you can print, link from an auction listing, email to a friend or email to help resolve a dispute.
