Appraiser Comments: Moorcroft Pottery studio began in 1897 as part of a larger ceramic company. James Macintyre & Co. Moorcroft. Young William Moorcroft was responsible for all of the designs and eventually William moved to Sandbach Road where Moorcroft pottery is still made today.

In 1904, Moorcroft won a gold medal at the St Louis International Exhibition and earned an appointment as Potter to the Queen in 1928.

Son Walter, took over management and design in 1945 and is now run by the Edwards family.

Tlhe pattern name is not surprisingly Mushroom. Your pieces are a treasure even with the damage. The wonderful jewel like quality of Moorcroft pottery make them extremely desirable. Thanks for sharing them with us.
